He REFRESHES Your Soul!

Hello LASF Ladies!

I am ready for a new year. 

Are you?

I am ready for the Lord to wash over my soul and be REFRESHED!

Are you?

Let’s take this month to allow the Lord to do just this:  Allow the Lord to make your soul fresh again.  Once you are refreshed, you will be ready to follow what the Lord has planned for you this year.  Let’s get started!

I was reading Psalm 23 and what a great place to start and begin allowing the Lord to REFRESH our soul.  He wants to REFRESH your soul.

Psalm 23:1-3 (NIV) says:

¹ The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
²     He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
³     he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.

I believe that when we follow our Shepherd (we follow Him by obeying His word) we will lack nothing in our soul. It is like lying in green pastures.  God’s word is like being by quiet waters.  It REFRESHES your soul.  Also, when we obey and follow His word we will be walking on the right path, the path that leads to Him and ultimately heaven.

Our circumstances do not really matter.  They can be calm or crazy, awesome or horrific, grounding or unsettling.  What really matters is our soul.  When our soul is refreshed, we can then live.  Truly live no matter the circumstances.

I want to encourage you to take a moment and read PSALM 23.  Then as you print off your print-able may you be encouraged and reminded this week to allow the Lord to REFRESH your soul.  Oh, I also have a print-able that you can use as wallpaper on your electronic device to be reminded that the Lord wants to refresh your soul.  Mine is on my phone as my lock screen saver!  I love it!!!
