Did you know you are a branch?

Hello Ladies,

It is talk-able Tuesday.  Here is where you will find encouraging talks from the word and have a print-able made by myself for you to print off and be encouraged with God’s word.

Let’s get started.  You and Your soul are going to love it!

I am the vine_printable pjgJesus said, “I am the vine and you are the branches.  He who abides in Me and I in him bears much fruit: for without Me you can do nothing.”

This verse is such a great word picture!

Just before this verse in John 1:1 Jesus says, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine-dresser.”

  • What is a vinedresser?
    • This is an agricultural specialist who knows how to propagate, plant, prune, and tend grape vines
    • whose goal is to optimize the quality and abundance of the grapes.
  • What a great way to picture God in relation to his son and in relation to us.
    • Jesus is the vine and
    • from the vine the branches (remember you are the branches) grow and
    • from the branches the fruit is produced.

So, to summarize:

  • God, as the vinedresser, knows that Jesus His son is the vine, the giver of life and all of us who accept Jesus as our savior are the branches that can grow from the vine, Jesus.
  • God, the great vinedresser, knows that through His son life is propagated and many branches will grow from the vine, His son, and as the vinedresser He prunes and tends to you, so that you will produce abundant, excellent tasting fruit.  In other words, you will produce a life that points others to Jesus, the vine, the giver of life.

As you go through your week, remember you are a branch that is attached to the vine and without the vine you can do nothing, and this vine gives you life.

May you allow God to prune and tend to you so that your Life will produce fruit that is abundant!

I want to encourage you to print off this week’s print-able to be reminded that Jesus is the vine, and you are the branch!

See you next week!

Blessings to you,
Krista

Humility – Week 4: Walk Humbly

Hello Ladies,
Humility Week 4 Walk Humbly
This last week I was talking with my Mom and she asked if I was going to be lettering the verse in Micah 6:8 because it is one of her favorite verses.  To be totally honest, this is my husband’s favorite verse and one of my favorite verses too!  So, after my Mom asked about his verse, I was totally impelled to hand-letter this verse for you all this week.

How many of you also just love this verse?  I would love to know 🙂  Click the email icon at the end of this email and let me know!

Here is Micah 6:8 and it is lettered for you this week to print off as your print-able to be reminded of how to walk in this life.

  • He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
    But to do justly,
    To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?
God wants you to walk Humbly with Him.
  • Not in-front of Him,
  • Not behind Him,
  • but WITH Him.
How totally awesome is that.  The God of this universe wants you to WALK WITH HIM.  Wow, take a breathe and pause for a moment and let it sink in… God wants you to walk – with – Him.  There is one stipulation to being able to walk with Him AND it is that you need to do it HUMBLY.  This is what is good.  Behave justly, LOVE mercy, and then walk humbly with your God.  Whose God?  Your God.

All I can say is … A-W-E-S-O-M-E

Let’s look at the questions we are asking ourselves about being Humble as we read Micah 6:8

  • Am I humble?
    • Are you humble?  Are you able to walk WITH your God?
  • What does being humble look like?
    • Being humble is acting justly in our dealings with each other and loving mercy.  Having mercy is being willing to forgive and allow others in our lives to move forward.  Our mercy needs to extend to our husbands, children, friends, family members, strangers and enemies.  We are suppose to love and enjoy extending mercy to others. (This is not always easy for me to do especially when I have been emotionally hurt by someone.  But when I do extend mercy, which is an act of humility, putting my hurts feelings aside and not requiring something back, relationships can soar!  So hard to do, but so rewarding!!!)
  • Why does God tell us/you to be humble?
    • According to Micah the prophet, when we are JUST and LOVE MERCY, we can walk humbly with our God.
    • So why be humble?  To be able to walk with our God, to be able to walk WITH our FATHER
  • And… How would the world look if we did this one thing: Be Humble?
    • Justice and Mercy would reign in our dealing with each other and we would be walking WITH our God!
    • We would have lives of Peace!
      • Hmmm,…It would be like having heaven on Earth.  The Lord’s prayer would be actually happening…thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven…
Ladies, let’s be just in our dealings and love mercy and then let’s walk humbly WITH our God!

May you have a wonderful week WALKING WITH YOUR GOD!

Blessings, Krista

There is a time for everything

Hello Ladies,

It’s Talk-able Tuesday! Are you ready for a short talk with a hand lettered print-able I made that is attached for you to print off, remember, and be encouraged by God’s word?
Let’s get going:)

2021-May-Week-1-There-is-a-I have an announcement to make.
I am going to be taking a little break from my posts, print-ables and podcasts with LASF for the rest of this month, the month of May.  I will be back in June ready to continue in Ecclesiastes.

For today, I would like to look at Eccl 3:1.  It says:

  • There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:

I have been asked to speak at my local churches Women’s Retreat this year and the retreat is over Memorial Weekend. I am very honored and excited to be able to share what God and His word have to say about being “Washed, Cleaned, and Refreshed”.  I am going to be giving “Talk-ables”,  you could say, to the women in my church. How fun is that? How humbling is that? I am needing some extra time this month to prepare.

As I read in Ecclesiastes, there is a time for every activity under heaven and right now I need to put LASF on pause.  Thank you for your understanding.

Let me ask you, What are you suppose to do in this time?  What activities are you to commit your time to?  It is OK to stop some things for a time and then pick them up again.

Isn’t it comforting to know that there are certain times to do things and that there is a season to every activity we do here on earth.

Ladies, enjoy your time this month doing the activities the Lord wants you to do.  I look forward to seeing you in June.

Blessings to you, Krista

Your print-ables are below ready for you to print off 🙂

Direction: In what direction are you looking?

Hello Ladies!
This week I want to ask you:
  • In what direction are you looking?
And I want to encourage you to look up!  God’s word says:
  • Therefore we do not lose heart.  Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.  For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.  So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen in eternal. 2Corinthians 4:16-18
  • And in Psalm 5:1-3 is says, Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation.  Give heed to the voice of my cry, My King and My God, For to you I will pray.  My voice you shall hear in the morning, Oh, Lord; In the morning I will direct it to you, and I will look up.
Ladies, as you go through your week I want to encourage you to take a moment in
  • your quiet time,
  • as you go through your day,
  • when you on break at work, or
  • when you are in the car driving
to look up.  God wants you to direct your prayers to Him and direct you eyes on Him to the things that are “unseen”, which is heaven and all that is holds for you.

To remind you to look up, I have my hand-lettered print-able ready for you to print off.

May you have a week filled with God’s assurance and keep looking up!

Blessings, Krista

Who am I? You are…

Ladies, Welcome to Talk-able Tuesday!

We have been reading all month in God’s word about who He says you are.  So far, we have read that you are: Chosen, Adopted, Forgiven, Sanctified, Holy, Pure, and Free.

Priscilla Shirer in her bible study, The Armor of God, had a page where she listed who we are in Christ and she had been given this list from someone.

Today, I want to share this list with you just as Priscilla Shirer shared it in her study.  Let me go on and continue one last time and tell you who you are.  You are:

  • Holy and without blame, Ephesians 1:4
  • God’s temple, 1Corinthians 3:16
  • A child of God, John 1:12
  • At Peace with God, Romans 5:1
  • Christ’s friend, John 15:5
  • Redeemed, Ephesians 1:7
  • An ambassador, 2 Cor. 5:20
  • Loved by God, Jeremiah 31:3
  • One of God’s living stones being built up in Christ as a spiritual house, 1 Peter 2:5
  • The salt of the earth, Matthew 5:13
  • Made alive, Ephesians 2:1
  • The light of the world, Matthew 5:14
  • Given the spirit of power, love, and self-discipline, 2 Timothy 1:7
  • You are a Citizen of Heaven, Philippians 3:20
  • Raised up and seated with Christ in the heavenly places, Ephesians 2:6
  • His workmanship created for good works. Ephesians 1:10
  • Made wise, Colossians 1:13
  • A member of God’s household, Ephesians 2:19
  • A member of a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, and created to sing PRAISES. 1 Peter 2:9-10
  • A joint heir. Romans 8:17, and
  • You are a child of the LIGHT. Thessalonians 5:5

Now that is AWESOME!  Ladies take hold of who you are!  Do not let the enemy tell you otherwise and steel it from you.  Give praise to the Lord for He is good.

You know what?  I find that when I get my identity from Christ, I know how to respond in situations.  I know what kind of life I want lead.  I know where I am going when my life here is complete.  I know how to treat my physical body, my mind, and my soul.  I know the type of man God wants me to marry.  I know what kind of friends I should keep.  I know how to be a mom, wife, daughter, friend.  I know who I am.

Ladies, you too can know who you are.  All you need to do is have Jesus as your savior and dive into His word where you will find your identity.  You will find who you are!

Now you and I can walk boldly in this world with assurance in our heart, mind, and soul.

Praise the Lord.

Here is your print-able that I created for you to print off and be encouraged and reminded of Who you are.

I will see you next week for Talk-able Tuesday.  AND next month we are going to talk about Direction!  Come and join me to read where God wants to direct you.

May you truly have a blessed week.

Krista

Who am I? – You are Sanctified.

Hello Ladies and Welcome to “Talk-able Tuesday.”

Last week we read in God’s word from Ephesians 1: 4-8 that you are

  • Chosen
  • Adopted
  • Forgiven

Isn’t it awesome to know who God says you are?

This week I am going to continue to talk with you about Who God says you are.  We read in I John 1, Hebrews 2:11

  • For both He who SANCTIFIES and those who are being SANCTIFIED are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren,
  • 1 John 1:7-9 says, but if we are living in the light of God’s presence, just as Christ does, then we have wonderful fellowship and joy with each other, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from every sin. If we say that we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and refusing to accept the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he can be depended on to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong. And it is perfectly proper for God to do this for us because Christ died to wash away our sins.
  • Ladies, from what we just read you are SANCTIFIED.

Do you know what this means?

  • You are set apart for a purpose
  • You are made pure
  • You are made clean
  • You are given a moral sanction; sanction means to be made valid by a formal procedure
    • Ladies this is GOOD NEWS! Why? Because:
      • we cannot SANCTIFIY ourselves.
      • we cannot purify ourselves
      • we cannot clean ourselves
    • We need a moral sanction, a “formal procedure” to SANCTIFY us.
      • Jesus is the one who gave us the moral sanction in order for us to be sanctified, made us clean and pure. He had to go through the “formal procedure” of living here on earth, dying and rising again to give us a moral sanction so we can be SANCTIFIED, made clean and pure.
      • This is GOOD NEWS because it is a gift and our enemy cannot take it away or tell us we are not good enough. Because we already know we are not good enough and know that Jesus sanctioned us and we are therefore SANCTIFIED – made pure.
      • WOW!
    • Ladies, let this soak in for a moment….
      • You – are – SANCTIFIED, made pure and Jesus is the one who can make you pure and therefore no one or thing can take it from you.
      • Do not let the enemy trick you and tell you otherwise.

Isn’t it assuring to know who you are?  When you allow Jesus to be your savior, you gain such a rich identity.

  • An identity that does not change over time.
  • An identity that does not change as society changes.
  • An identity that does not change because another person decides to change their mind.

So, ladies, who are you?   Last week we read you are Chosen, adopted, and forgiven.  This week we read you are SANCTIFIED, made pure, clean, holy.

  • I have a print-able for you today that I made and it says “you are sanctified”. I want to encourage you to print it off and be reminded from God’s word of Who you are.
    • For your You are sanctified print-able – large: Click Here
    • For your You are sanctified print-able small: Click Here

Ladies, have a super week and remember as you go about your daily happenings, job, meetings, errands, remember who you are and stand firm in knowing this is who God says you are.

  • You are Chosen, Adopted, Forgiven, SANCTIFIED, Pure, and Clean!

See you next week for Talk-able Tuesday.

Blessings,

Krista

Who am I?

Hello Ladies,

I am so glad that you have joined me today!

Let me ask you a question right off:  Who are you? … Ladies, who are you?!?

This month we are going to be diving into God’s word to read what God says about who you are and let me tell you God has much to say on this topic.  How awesome is that.  God knew that we would have this question at various times in our lives and He gives us direct answers in His word to this vary question.

Join me on my podcast and learn who God says you are!

And here are your print-ables for this week to continue to encourage you with God’s word. Print off your print-able and be reminded and encouraged that You are Chosen!

May you have a great week knowing God chose you to be apart of His family.  I look forward to seeing you next week for talk-able Tuesday.

Blessings, Krista

Let’s get Praying – Is Prayer Your Default Response?

Hello Ladies!

Welcome to talk-able Tuesday.  This is where I want to encourage you to be in God’s word because when you are you will grow in your faith and your life will be full.  Let’s get started.  You and your soul are going to love it!

We have been talking about prayer the past three weeks.

  1. Week 1 – I encouraged you and myself to “Get Started Praying.”
    • We created a Prayer Jar to be able to pick one bible verse a day from the jar for 35 days to be able to read what the Lord says about prayer and how to pray.
    • I also created a Prayer Card that was a print-able for you that has bible verse on it so we can pray bible verses and have a prayer strategy when we are praying.
    • Lastly, I encouraged you to set a goal in regard to prayer. What you want to accomplish in your prayer life.  Here is a link this blog post so you can print these print-ables if you have not already done so.  CLICK HERE
  2. Week 2 – We talked about “how to pray”. On the Prayer Card there is a 5 step strategy as to how we can begin to pray.  As Sheila Walsh has said, “Pray hardest when it is hardest to pray.”
  3. Week 3 – I encouraged you to keep praying. Keep moving toward your goal.  Keep obeying God’s word.  He calls us to pray always.  Ephesians 6:18 – And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. And Romans 12:12 says, rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

After putting all these things in place, is PRAYER beginning to be your default response to your life circumstances?

You know what I have noticed this month since I have been intentional about making prayer a part of my daily life (my prayer goal is to pray 5 minutes each day) and using all the things I talked about in the past 3 weeks?  Prayer is becoming more and more my default response to the various circumstances in my life.

  • I have noticed that my response to life situations has slowed down.
    • Example: When my son becomes upset over a situation in his life, I am more apt to respond in a voice and manner that is calmer and deescalating.
  • When my husband and I are discussing current events we both go to prayer quicker to make our requests known to the Lord and to lay them there.
  • I find myself making sure that I am set up to be able to finish my morning activities before my son is up and husband is ready for our morning cup of coffee together, so I can pray and then read God’s word.
    • I have my spot in my house where I go to pray and read God’s word. This time is becoming more and more precious times for me.
  • I have been giving prayers of thanks more often and this has filled up my own heart with gratitude for all the Lord has given me and my family.
  • While driving in my car, I am quicker to pray and give praise as I see things happen around me.
  • I have been praying God’s word more and claiming it as truth.

Is this happening to you?  Is prayer becoming a default response for you as you go through your day?  I am excited to continue growing in my prayer life and I pray the same for you!  God wants to have a close relationship with you.  Keep making prayer your default response to your circumstance

I will see you next week in March as we talk about Direction: Where do I go?

Can’t wait.  Talk to you soon,

Blessings, Krista

Let’s Get Praying – Keep it up!

Hello LASF Ladies!

It is talk-able Tuesday and I am so glad you are here.

I have a serious question.  How are things going for you? Really?  How are things regarding your relationships?  Your family? Your city? Your state? Your country? If the answer is that things are not going well, then it is time to PRAY and time to keep PRAYING!

Ladies, I believe it is not a coincidence that this month we are focusing on PRAYER.  I believe it is not a coincidence that I keep hearing Christian leaders calling for God’s people to PRAY.  I just read a letter from Dr. James Dobson and a letter from Rabbi Johnathan Cahn calling God’s people to PRAY.  I believe it is not a coincidence that I was reading 1 Peter 4 & 5 last week just before I met with the Fervent Book Club Ladies, and it says

1 Peter 4:7-8: But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.  And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.

1 Peter 5: 8-10: Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.  Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.  But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

I believe all these things are happening because it is time for me to PRAY and it is time for you to PRAY.  To PRAY Ladies!  Pray for your marriage.  Pray for your family.  Pray for your church.  Pray for your city, your state, and your country.  We need to be on our knees before God Praising Him, confessing our sin to Him, pleading with Him to restore these things back to himself and that His TRUTH will reign, and thanking God for Jesus and His sacrifice.  Then be still and rest in the Lord knowing He hears your Prayers

Ladies keep PRAYING!  Be fervent in your PRAYER.  I feel an urgency.  Pray for God to have forgiveness and mercy on you and on your spouse, family, city, state, and country.

Keep Praying, in the good times and in the bad times.  We are living in a post-christian time.  God’s TRUTH is not accepted or respected by the majority.  We need to be in PRAYER in these days, so we can be strong and in direct communication with our Lord, the Lord of the Bible.  Keep PRAYING!

As always, I have a print-able for you. Your print-able this week is to encourage you to PRAY ALWAYS.  Please take a moment to print your Craft-able print-able and make your two bookmarks.  Use them as you read a book and use them in your Bible to be reminded to PRAY ALWAYS.  You can also keep one and give one away to encourage a friend to PRAY ALWAYS.

Love you ladies and blessings to you as you keep praying and making prayer a default response to your life circumstances.

See you next Tuesday for Talk-able Tuesday!

Krista

Let’s Get Praying! – How to start praying

Hello Ladies,

How are you this week?  Have you been praying? No? …Kind of? … Not really?  Well, there is not better time to start than now.   But first, have you made your prayer jar from last week’s print-able?  If not, I want to encourage you to do this because there are 35 Bible verses to cut out and put in a jar and for the next 35 days you will be encouraged by scripture to pray and the bible verses will tell you what God says about prayer, and how God says to how to pray.  CLICK HERE FOR YOUR PRAYER JAR BIBLE VERSES. Let’s set ourselves up for success.  Let’s get strategic.

In the book FERVENT by Priscilla Schirer, she is calling women to be serious, specific, and strategic in regard to their prayer life.  This is biblical.  God says in Ephesians 6 to pray continuously because our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces in the air and in Jeremiah 29 God says that when we call on Him and pray, He will listen. Ladies, we need to be in prayer for God to hear us and for us to hear Him.

So, with that being said, let’s get strategic!

  1. This week let’s set a goal regarding your prayer life. (I have done this as well, just to let you know)  I want to encourage you to set a certain time to pray, establish a certain place to pray, and set a certain length of time to pray.   Maybe you want to write your goal down or tell someone what you are doing so they can keep you accountable.
  2. You now have your prayer goal.  Now what?  Start to pray.  “How?” you ask.  I thought you would never ask.  You can start by using the Prayer Strategy I wrote on the Prayer Card I created.  Here is a link to my Prayer Card, which was one of last week’s print-ables. CLICK HERE FOR YOUR PRAYER CARD PRINT-ABLE.
  3. Also, to give you suggestions on how to pray, I heard a wonderful podcast from Jennifer Rothschild on her podcast entitled 4:13 Podcast with Jennifer Rothschild.  She was interviewing Sheila Walsh.  I want to invite you to listen to this podcast.  I have the link below.  Sheila has also written a book about prayer and she talks about a wonderfully effective and simple “one-word” and “two-word” prayer you can pray when you just do not know how to pray.  This is where I got the one and two-word prayers I put on your prayer card.  Thank you, Sheila Walsh!

Ladies, I want to encourage you to print off your color-able print-able for today and while you are listening to this podcast you can color your color-able that tells you that the Lord will hear you when you call on him and pray.  May you enjoy listening to Jennifer and Sheila as they talk about prayer and may you continue to be inspired and encouraged to make a prayer goal for yourself and then start praying!

Here is a quote from Sheila to encourage you to keep praying even when it is hard.  She says, “Pray hardest when it’s hardest to pray.”

Let’s make prayer a default response to our life circumstances.

Blessings and I will see you next week for talk-able Tuesday,

Krista
