There is a time for everything

Hello Ladies,

It’s Talk-able Tuesday! Are you ready for a short talk with a hand lettered print-able I made that is attached for you to print off, remember, and be encouraged by God’s word?
Let’s get going:)

2021-May-Week-1-There-is-a-I have an announcement to make.
I am going to be taking a little break from my posts, print-ables and podcasts with LASF for the rest of this month, the month of May.  I will be back in June ready to continue in Ecclesiastes.

For today, I would like to look at Eccl 3:1.  It says:

  • There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:

I have been asked to speak at my local churches Women’s Retreat this year and the retreat is over Memorial Weekend. I am very honored and excited to be able to share what God and His word have to say about being “Washed, Cleaned, and Refreshed”.  I am going to be giving “Talk-ables”,  you could say, to the women in my church. How fun is that? How humbling is that? I am needing some extra time this month to prepare.

As I read in Ecclesiastes, there is a time for every activity under heaven and right now I need to put LASF on pause.  Thank you for your understanding.

Let me ask you, What are you suppose to do in this time?  What activities are you to commit your time to?  It is OK to stop some things for a time and then pick them up again.

Isn’t it comforting to know that there are certain times to do things and that there is a season to every activity we do here on earth.

Ladies, enjoy your time this month doing the activities the Lord wants you to do.  I look forward to seeing you in June.

Blessings to you, Krista

Your print-ables are below ready for you to print off 🙂

Direction: Where do you go to get directions?

Hello Ladies,
This month I have asked the questions
  • Where are you looking and
  • In what direction are you looking?
Today, I would like to ask a final question about direction:
  • Where do you go to get directions?
Do you go to your friends? Your spouse?  Your parents? Do you go to social media?  Do you go to specialists to get directions?  Do you go to “influencers” in specific areas?  Do you go to the “experts”?  Am I saying never go to these people for some advise?  No.  But, where are you going first to get some “direction”?  Where are you going the most to ask for directions?

I want to pose to you that you can go to God’s word to get all the directions you need for your life.

God’s word says:
  • Psalm 119:103-105 – How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore, I hate every wrong path. Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
  • Proverb 3:5-6 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
  • 2 Timothy 3:16-17 – All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Ladies, I would like to encourage you that when you have decisions in life to make and you need some directions, you do not know what to choose, which path to take, or who to listen to, that you go to God in prayer, be still, and then dig into God’s word.
  • It will direct your life.
  • It will direct your decisions.
  • It will direct your relationships.
  • It will direct your feet.
  • It will give you directions!
Get your directions from God’s word today and every day!Have a blessed week.

Krista

Direction.

Hello Ladies,
How was Easter?  Easter has become one of my favorite holidays to celebrate.  I treasure this time of reflection, remembrance, and then celebration.  If Jesus had not come in physical form, had not died on the cross, and then had not risen from the dead, I cannot imagine what hope I would have.  Jesus is our savior. Jesus is our redeemer.  Jesus is our intercessor.  Jesus is our HOPE!  Ladies, Jesus is your savior, redeemer, intercessor, and HOPE too.  May you be encouraged and filled with hope this week as you go about your days this week.
This month we are going to be talking about DIRECTION.
Let me ask you a few questions:
  1. Where are you looking?
  2. In what direction are you looking? AND
  3. Where do you go to get directions?
Join me next week as we continue to read God’s word to gain understanding in regards to DIRECTION and will begin to answer these few questions.
I look forward to talking with you next week!  Keep watch in your inbox.  Talk to you soon!
Blessings, Krista

Who am I? You are…

Ladies, Welcome to Talk-able Tuesday!

We have been reading all month in God’s word about who He says you are.  So far, we have read that you are: Chosen, Adopted, Forgiven, Sanctified, Holy, Pure, and Free.

Priscilla Shirer in her bible study, The Armor of God, had a page where she listed who we are in Christ and she had been given this list from someone.

Today, I want to share this list with you just as Priscilla Shirer shared it in her study.  Let me go on and continue one last time and tell you who you are.  You are:

  • Holy and without blame, Ephesians 1:4
  • God’s temple, 1Corinthians 3:16
  • A child of God, John 1:12
  • At Peace with God, Romans 5:1
  • Christ’s friend, John 15:5
  • Redeemed, Ephesians 1:7
  • An ambassador, 2 Cor. 5:20
  • Loved by God, Jeremiah 31:3
  • One of God’s living stones being built up in Christ as a spiritual house, 1 Peter 2:5
  • The salt of the earth, Matthew 5:13
  • Made alive, Ephesians 2:1
  • The light of the world, Matthew 5:14
  • Given the spirit of power, love, and self-discipline, 2 Timothy 1:7
  • You are a Citizen of Heaven, Philippians 3:20
  • Raised up and seated with Christ in the heavenly places, Ephesians 2:6
  • His workmanship created for good works. Ephesians 1:10
  • Made wise, Colossians 1:13
  • A member of God’s household, Ephesians 2:19
  • A member of a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, and created to sing PRAISES. 1 Peter 2:9-10
  • A joint heir. Romans 8:17, and
  • You are a child of the LIGHT. Thessalonians 5:5

Now that is AWESOME!  Ladies take hold of who you are!  Do not let the enemy tell you otherwise and steel it from you.  Give praise to the Lord for He is good.

You know what?  I find that when I get my identity from Christ, I know how to respond in situations.  I know what kind of life I want lead.  I know where I am going when my life here is complete.  I know how to treat my physical body, my mind, and my soul.  I know the type of man God wants me to marry.  I know what kind of friends I should keep.  I know how to be a mom, wife, daughter, friend.  I know who I am.

Ladies, you too can know who you are.  All you need to do is have Jesus as your savior and dive into His word where you will find your identity.  You will find who you are!

Now you and I can walk boldly in this world with assurance in our heart, mind, and soul.

Praise the Lord.

Here is your print-able that I created for you to print off and be encouraged and reminded of Who you are.

I will see you next week for Talk-able Tuesday.  AND next month we are going to talk about Direction!  Come and join me to read where God wants to direct you.

May you truly have a blessed week.

Krista

Who am I? – You are Sanctified.

Hello Ladies and Welcome to “Talk-able Tuesday.”

Last week we read in God’s word from Ephesians 1: 4-8 that you are

  • Chosen
  • Adopted
  • Forgiven

Isn’t it awesome to know who God says you are?

This week I am going to continue to talk with you about Who God says you are.  We read in I John 1, Hebrews 2:11

  • For both He who SANCTIFIES and those who are being SANCTIFIED are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren,
  • 1 John 1:7-9 says, but if we are living in the light of God’s presence, just as Christ does, then we have wonderful fellowship and joy with each other, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from every sin. If we say that we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and refusing to accept the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he can be depended on to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong. And it is perfectly proper for God to do this for us because Christ died to wash away our sins.
  • Ladies, from what we just read you are SANCTIFIED.

Do you know what this means?

  • You are set apart for a purpose
  • You are made pure
  • You are made clean
  • You are given a moral sanction; sanction means to be made valid by a formal procedure
    • Ladies this is GOOD NEWS! Why? Because:
      • we cannot SANCTIFIY ourselves.
      • we cannot purify ourselves
      • we cannot clean ourselves
    • We need a moral sanction, a “formal procedure” to SANCTIFY us.
      • Jesus is the one who gave us the moral sanction in order for us to be sanctified, made us clean and pure. He had to go through the “formal procedure” of living here on earth, dying and rising again to give us a moral sanction so we can be SANCTIFIED, made clean and pure.
      • This is GOOD NEWS because it is a gift and our enemy cannot take it away or tell us we are not good enough. Because we already know we are not good enough and know that Jesus sanctioned us and we are therefore SANCTIFIED – made pure.
      • WOW!
    • Ladies, let this soak in for a moment….
      • You – are – SANCTIFIED, made pure and Jesus is the one who can make you pure and therefore no one or thing can take it from you.
      • Do not let the enemy trick you and tell you otherwise.

Isn’t it assuring to know who you are?  When you allow Jesus to be your savior, you gain such a rich identity.

  • An identity that does not change over time.
  • An identity that does not change as society changes.
  • An identity that does not change because another person decides to change their mind.

So, ladies, who are you?   Last week we read you are Chosen, adopted, and forgiven.  This week we read you are SANCTIFIED, made pure, clean, holy.

  • I have a print-able for you today that I made and it says “you are sanctified”. I want to encourage you to print it off and be reminded from God’s word of Who you are.

Ladies, have a super week and remember as you go about your daily happenings, job, meetings, errands, remember who you are and stand firm in knowing this is who God says you are.

  • You are Chosen, Adopted, Forgiven, SANCTIFIED, Pure, and Clean!

See you next week for Talk-able Tuesday.

Blessings,

Krista

Pray Always

Hello Ladies and welcome to Talk-able Tuesday!

September is here and I can hardly believe it. Summer is starting to turn into Fall. Can you feel it in the air? Here in Idaho, our nights are cooler and our mornings are taking longer to warm up. Not sure I am ready for FALL just yet.

We went through three “Cups” this Summer and I can hardly believe it. We read what God has to say about JOY, PEACE, and FAITH. We are now ready to look into what God has to say about PRAYER.

Before diving into PRAYER, let me step back for a moment and ask, how did you like making all the “Cups” this Summer?

What was one take away you had from reading God’s word regarding FAITH, since we just finished our “Cup of FAITH”?  (I would love to hear form you in the in the comment section below.)

For me it was fun to be able to read a verse each day for a month on a specific word and really start to wrap my mind around that one word and what God thinks and says about it.

I think the biggest take away for me was starting to think of FAITH as an Action.

This month, September, I would like to put our FAITH into action!
How?
By following God’s instruction from His word to PRAY.  Prayer is our biggest weapon against the enemy and yet we tend to use this the least or as a last resort much of the time.

I do not know about you,  but I want to change this in my life!  I  would like to become a prayer warrior.  Do you?!?

Prayer is essential and necessary to be able to talk to God, make our requests known to Him, have our praises heard, and to hear from God ourselves.

In Ephesians 6:14-17, Paul talks about putting on the whole armor of God.  Why?  Because we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness of this age.  We need to be prepared and ready and once we have on God’s armor we are told in verse 18 to PRAY always, with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

Ladies, We need to have Prayer be our “first line of offense and defense” not just used as our “last resort”!

When your world is out of control, events go wrong, friends hurt you, or your spirit is in the dumps, what do you do?

  • Talk about the other side being wrong?
  • Blame someone?
  • Gossip to others?
  • Binge eat or go into a deep depression?

I want to encourage you that your best line of offense and defense is to PRAY!

For the next two weeks I would like to encourage you to start to think about praying first and praying always.
Before

  • you do anything about a problem,
  • say anything,
  • or react on your feelings.

Take a minute (or maybe 2 or maybe even 10) to PRAY.  Allow God to be the first to stop the spinning, right the wrong, heal your heart, and lift you up!

*** Then in two weeks, Sept. 15th, I am going to email you again with a video talk-able to encourage you to continue to PRAY first and PRAY Always, so that PRAYER starts to be in the forefront of your mind.  We need to form a new habit. And when you form for yourself the habit to go to God in Prayer first and Always, you will have taken a huge step in putting your FAITH into Action and allowing God to direct your path. Something to remember:

  •  Our “fight” is not against other people, but against principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness of this age and the only way to “fight” back is to go to battle through prayer.

God notices when we obey and change more and more into the people He wants us to be.  His blessings flow!

*** To encourage and remind you to PRAY first and PRAY Always, I have hand-lettered a print-able just for you!  Please, copy it, pin it, and post it to remind yourself to PRAY Always and I will see you in two weeks!  I am excited to put our Faith into Action and obey God’s word to PRAY Always!  Let’s get started!

Blessings and Smiles, Krista

See you in 2 Weeks 🙂
