REFRESH Your Soul

Refresh-colorable-staged-smHello Ladies,

We are mid-way through January.  How are you doing?  How is your soul?  Are you taking moments to allow the Lord to refresh your soul? This last week, did you take a moment and allow the Lord’s creation, His glory, to refresh you?  If not, it is not too late and whenever you are needing a refreshing from the Lord remember to take a moment in His creation.  He will refresh you!

I have been reading through the book of James.  It has been a while since I have read this book.  James does such a great job outlining how we are to live and behave as those who have been saved through Jesus’ life, death and resurrection.  It has been a refreshing time to take a moment and look at how I am to live as one saved through Jesus.  Am I following and obeying God’s word?  Because when I am my soul is at peace and I feel fresh and ready to face each day.

When you are in need of refreshing your soul, go to God’s word.  It is full of truth and wisdom.

Psalm 19:7 says:

The law of the Lord is perfect,
    refreshing the soul.
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy,
    making wise the simple.

This is such a simple thing to do and yet sometimes we go to everything else but God’s word.

  • Ladies, right now and each day this week take some time to be in God’s word.
  • It is prefect for REFRESHING your soul.
  • It is trustworthy and will give you wisdom.
  • Do not wait another day!  Go to His word and dwell there.  Your soul will thank you 🙂

As always, your print-able is ready.  This week it is a color-able print-able! May you continue to be encouraged by God’s word as you read it and color your color-able.  It is there to refresh your soul and give you wisdom.

I will see you next week for Talk-able Tuesday and it is a Talk-able Podcast! (Spoiler alert!)  I am excited to talk with you.  Keep watch in your inbox for your gift of encouragement!

Blessings Always,

Krista

He REFRESHES Your Soul!

refreshes-printable-smHello LASF Ladies!

I am ready for a new year.

Are you?

I am ready for the Lord to wash over my soul and be REFRESHED!

Are you?

Let’s take this month to allow the Lord to do just this:  Allow the Lord to make your soul fresh again.  Once you are refreshed, you will be ready to follow what the Lord has planned for you this year.  Let’s get started!

I was reading Psalm 23 and what a great place to start and begin allowing the Lord to REFRESH our soul.  He wants to REFRESH your soul.

Psalm 23:1-3 (NIV) says:

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
    he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.

I believe that when we follow our Shepherd (we follow Him by obeying His word) we will lack nothing in our soul. It is like lying in green pastures.  God’s word is like being by quiet waters.  It REFRESHES your soul.  Also, when we obey and follow His word we will be walking on the right path, the path that leads to Him and ultimately heaven.

Our circumstances do not really matter.  They can be calm or crazy, awesome or horrific, grounding or unsettling.  What really matters is our soul.  When our soul is refreshed, we can then live.  Truly live no matter the circumstances.

I want to encourage you to take a moment and read PSALM 23.  Then as you print off your print-able may you be encouraged and reminded this week to allow the Lord to REFRESH your soul.  Oh, I also have a print-able that you can use as wallpaper on your electronic device to be reminded that the Lord wants to refresh your soul.  Mine is on my phone as my lock screen saver!  I love it!!!

I look forward to seeing you next week for Talk-able Tuesday!

Blessings Always, Krista

P.S.  LASF is going to implement some new changes this year.   You can read about them below your print-ables!

A Note from me to you:   We are changing a few things this year! (YAY!) I believe that when we have God’s word in our minds, we are better equipped to live each day and impact our world for Him.  I also believe that as believers encouraging each other is vital and biblical.  So with this in mind:

  • This year I want to send you weekly encouragement from God’s word.
    • Each Tuesday in your inbox there will be encouragement waiting for you to open!
    • It’s like receiving a gift every week 🙂

  • I will be producing one podcast Talk-able a month.  This is where I like to share more personally with you about the topic we are focusing on in that month.
  • “LASF 4 Ladies” Facebook page (I am excited about this) will be a more interactive place where we can all share and encourage each other with what God is doing in our lives through posts, pics, quotes, and bible verses.
      • God’s word says in Hebrews 10:24-25  And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
      • And says in Romans 14:19 says, So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual up-building.
    • I would love for you to join “LASF 4 Ladies” FB page CLICK HERE and click the Follow button at the top of the page and start posting encouragement for all to be built up!

Pray Always

Hello Ladies and welcome to Talk-able Tuesday!

September is here and I can hardly believe it. Summer is starting to turn into Fall. Can you feel it in the air? Here in Idaho, our nights are cooler and our mornings are taking longer to warm up. Not sure I am ready for FALL just yet.

We went through three “Cups” this Summer and I can hardly believe it. We read what God has to say about JOY, PEACE, and FAITH. We are now ready to look into what God has to say about PRAYER.

Before diving into PRAYER, let me step back for a moment and ask, how did you like making all the “Cups” this Summer?

What was one take away you had from reading God’s word regarding FAITH, since we just finished our “Cup of FAITH”?  (I would love to hear form you in the in the comment section below.)

For me it was fun to be able to read a verse each day for a month on a specific word and really start to wrap my mind around that one word and what God thinks and says about it.

I think the biggest take away for me was starting to think of FAITH as an Action.

This month, September, I would like to put our FAITH into action!
How?
By following God’s instruction from His word to PRAY.  Prayer is our biggest weapon against the enemy and yet we tend to use this the least or as a last resort much of the time.

I do not know about you,  but I want to change this in my life!  I  would like to become a prayer warrior.  Do you?!?

Prayer is essential and necessary to be able to talk to God, make our requests known to Him, have our praises heard, and to hear from God ourselves.

In Ephesians 6:14-17, Paul talks about putting on the whole armor of God.  Why?  Because we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness of this age.  We need to be prepared and ready and once we have on God’s armor we are told in verse 18 to PRAY always, with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

Ladies, We need to have Prayer be our “first line of offense and defense” not just used as our “last resort”!

When your world is out of control, events go wrong, friends hurt you, or your spirit is in the dumps, what do you do?

  • Talk about the other side being wrong?
  • Blame someone?
  • Gossip to others?
  • Binge eat or go into a deep depression?

I want to encourage you that your best line of offense and defense is to PRAY!

For the next two weeks I would like to encourage you to start to think about praying first and praying always.
Before

  • you do anything about a problem,
  • say anything,
  • or react on your feelings.

Take a minute (or maybe 2 or maybe even 10) to PRAY.  Allow God to be the first to stop the spinning, right the wrong, heal your heart, and lift you up!

*** Then in two weeks, Sept. 15th, I am going to email you again with a video talk-able to encourage you to continue to PRAY first and PRAY Always, so that PRAYER starts to be in the forefront of your mind.  We need to form a new habit. And when you form for yourself the habit to go to God in Prayer first and Always, you will have taken a huge step in putting your FAITH into Action and allowing God to direct your path. Something to remember:

  •  Our “fight” is not against other people, but against principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness of this age and the only way to “fight” back is to go to battle through prayer.

God notices when we obey and change more and more into the people He wants us to be.  His blessings flow!

*** To encourage and remind you to PRAY first and PRAY Always, I have hand-lettered a print-able just for you!  Please, copy it, pin it, and post it to remind yourself to PRAY Always and I will see you in two weeks!  I am excited to put our Faith into Action and obey God’s word to PRAY Always!  Let’s get started!

Blessings and Smiles, Krista

See you in 2 Weeks 🙂

It’s all about FAITH!

Hello Ladies!
Incredible! … Unbelievable! … Crazy! … and … Predicted.

We as Christians read in God’s word about what events are going to take place leading up to what we call the END TIMES and we read what God’s reveals to John in the book of Revelations and about what has to come about in order for Jesus to return.  Should we really be that surprised at the crazy, unprecedented things that are happening?   Every generation in one generation closer to THE END.

Do not despair Ladies!

  • We have the Truth, God’s word and
  • We can Believe in it and
  • Therefore put our FAITH in the one true God and His word.

This month we are going to read all about FAITH.

  • About God’s FAITH-fullness,
  • About those who have lived before us who were FAITH-ful and
  • Read about what our Faith should look like and
  • Be encouraged to have FAITH.

How are we going to do this? Let’s make our last “Cup” for the Summer Season.  Let’s make a “Cup of FAITH”

Grab your Favorite mug!
Print your print-able and cut your FAITH verses out.
Fold up your verses
Then put your verse in your mug!

Your “Cup of FAITH” is ready to go!

Each day you will read about what God’s word has to say about FAITH!

In two weeks: August 18th!

  • I will meet back with you for a video talk-able & Faith Color-able
  • I am going to talk with you about FAITH.
  • I also want to share with you one thing I read from Priscilla Shirer in her study “The Armor of God” about FAITH
    • She was told this one thing from another woman
    • and I want to pass it to you too!

I look forward to seeing you in two weeks, August 18th!

Until then, let’s make our “Cup of FAITH” and dig into God’s word!

Love you all Ladies and keep the FAITH!

As I close this post, I want to let you know about next month. The topic for next month is PEACE. I am so excited to dig into God’s word with you as we learn what He says about PEACE. He Makes All Things New (Part 2): Let’s Take a Moment & Praise God for Our Living Hope

Hello Ladies,

My phone camera broke!  Eeek!

As a result, I am unable to offer a video talk-able this week because I use my phone for video taping my talks and video taping myself hand-lettering the print-ables you print as well as any still pictures I use to insert into my posts.

So I thought it would be fun to make available to you DAY 2 from my 15 Days Encouraging You that He Makes All Thing New. (This will be available to you real soon as a download-able! Can’t wait!!!)

My desire for writing “15 Days Encouraging you that He Makes All Things New” is to

  • Encourage you to be in the word daily,
  • because when you are
  • Your relationship with God will come live,
  • you will be able to sustain your faith,
  • and you will have peace in your life.

Let’s get started today to really live and read how Jesus is our living Hope and has given us new birth.

Clean Life Clean Living (Part 2)

Hello Ladies,

I pray that all is well with you, your family, and your friends.  We are in such uneasy times.  It seems a little surreal, doesn’t it?  During this time especially, I am so thankful to the Lord for the PEACE that He gives:

Phil 4:6-7 says: Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

and the HOPE God gives in Christ Jesus, that yes we will have troubles in this world, but we will one day be with the Lord in heaven.  What a promise for those who have Jesus as their Savior.

1 Peter 1:3-6 – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ

Be Encouraged, God has us all in His hands no matter what happens to us.

Today is part 2 of my talk on Clean Life, Clean Living. There are two ways I believe that you can continue to have clean living through out your life. May you be encouraged today as I tell you these two things.

I have a bonus video that goes with this talk-able and I would love for you to join me to hear: 10 TIPS, TRICKS, & PREPS TO HELP YOU START TO HAVE CLEAN LIVING.

Thank you for joining me and I want to encourage you to be in God’s word. You will not regret it!

Clean Life, Clean Living (Part 1)

Hello ladies and thank you for joining me today!

I have to tell you, I have had the flu/cold sickness for the past week and a half and I am ready to be feeling better.  I sill have a lingering cough and so with that being said my talk-able this week is short, but sweet.  Thank you for your understanding.

As Winter is ending and Spring is approaching, I decided to postpone my talks “He Makes All Things New” until April when Spring is in full motion.  This month with the Winter days getting longer, the snow melting up here in Northern Idaho and with starting to physically feel better, I feel the need to start to clean things up in my life.   I am getting the urge to deep clean my house and feel the need to have the Lord deep clean my life as well.  Do you ever feel this way?

I want to encourage you today that the Lord wants to clean us up! He wants to clean you up. Why?  So we can have a clean life and be righteous, full of right living, so we can be in a great relationship with our God and with others around us.

Enjoy todays talk-able and join me March 24th for the second part of Clean Life, Clean Living.
