Direction: Where do you go to get directions?

Hello Ladies,
This month I have asked the questions
  • Where are you looking and
  • In what direction are you looking?
Today, I would like to ask a final question about direction:
  • Where do you go to get directions?
Do you go to your friends? Your spouse?  Your parents? Do you go to social media?  Do you go to specialists to get directions?  Do you go to “influencers” in specific areas?  Do you go to the “experts”?  Am I saying never go to these people for some advise?  No.  But, where are you going first to get some “direction”?  Where are you going the most to ask for directions?

I want to pose to you that you can go to God’s word to get all the directions you need for your life.

God’s word says:
  • Psalm 119:103-105 – How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore, I hate every wrong path. Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
  • Proverb 3:5-6 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
  • 2 Timothy 3:16-17 – All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Ladies, I would like to encourage you that when you have decisions in life to make and you need some directions, you do not know what to choose, which path to take, or who to listen to, that you go to God in prayer, be still, and then dig into God’s word.
  • It will direct your life.
  • It will direct your decisions.
  • It will direct your relationships.
  • It will direct your feet.
  • It will give you directions!
Get your directions from God’s word today and every day!Have a blessed week.

Direction.

Hello Ladies,
How was Easter?  Easter has become one of my favorite holidays to celebrate.  I treasure this time of reflection, remembrance, and then celebration.  If Jesus had not come in physical form, had not died on the cross, and then had not risen from the dead, I cannot imagine what hope I would have.  Jesus is our savior. Jesus is our redeemer.  Jesus is our intercessor.  Jesus is our HOPE!  Ladies, Jesus is your savior, redeemer, intercessor, and HOPE too.  May you be encouraged and filled with hope this week as you go about your days this week.
This month we are going to be talking about DIRECTION.
Let me ask you a few questions:
  1. Where are you looking?
  2. In what direction are you looking? AND
  3. Where do you go to get directions?
Join me next week as we continue to read God’s word to gain understanding in regards to DIRECTION and will begin to answer these few questions.
I look forward to talking with you next week!  Keep watch in your inbox.  Talk to you soon!
Blessings, Krista

Who am I? You are…

Ladies, Welcome to Talk-able Tuesday!

We have been reading all month in God’s word about who He says you are.  So far, we have read that you are: Chosen, Adopted, Forgiven, Sanctified, Holy, Pure, and Free.

Priscilla Shirer in her bible study, The Armor of God, had a page where she listed who we are in Christ and she had been given this list from someone.

Today, I want to share this list with you just as Priscilla Shirer shared it in her study.  Let me go on and continue one last time and tell you who you are.  You are:

  • Holy and without blame, Ephesians 1:4
  • God’s temple, 1Corinthians 3:16
  • A child of God, John 1:12
  • At Peace with God, Romans 5:1
  • Christ’s friend, John 15:5
  • Redeemed, Ephesians 1:7
  • An ambassador, 2 Cor. 5:20
  • Loved by God, Jeremiah 31:3
  • One of God’s living stones being built up in Christ as a spiritual house, 1 Peter 2:5
  • The salt of the earth, Matthew 5:13
  • Made alive, Ephesians 2:1
  • The light of the world, Matthew 5:14
  • Given the spirit of power, love, and self-discipline, 2 Timothy 1:7
  • You are a Citizen of Heaven, Philippians 3:20
  • Raised up and seated with Christ in the heavenly places, Ephesians 2:6
  • His workmanship created for good works. Ephesians 1:10
  • Made wise, Colossians 1:13
  • A member of God’s household, Ephesians 2:19
  • A member of a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, and created to sing PRAISES. 1 Peter 2:9-10
  • A joint heir. Romans 8:17, and
  • You are a child of the LIGHT. Thessalonians 5:5

Now that is AWESOME!  Ladies take hold of who you are!  Do not let the enemy tell you otherwise and steel it from you.  Give praise to the Lord for He is good.

You know what?  I find that when I get my identity from Christ, I know how to respond in situations.  I know what kind of life I want lead.  I know where I am going when my life here is complete.  I know how to treat my physical body, my mind, and my soul.  I know the type of man God wants me to marry.  I know what kind of friends I should keep.  I know how to be a mom, wife, daughter, friend.  I know who I am.

Ladies, you too can know who you are.  All you need to do is have Jesus as your savior and dive into His word where you will find your identity.  You will find who you are!

Now you and I can walk boldly in this world with assurance in our heart, mind, and soul.

Praise the Lord.

Here is your print-able that I created for you to print off and be encouraged and reminded of Who you are.

I will see you next week for Talk-able Tuesday.  AND next month we are going to talk about Direction!  Come and join me to read where God wants to direct you.

May you truly have a blessed week.

Krista

Let’s get Praying – Is Prayer Your Default Response?

Hello Ladies!

Welcome to talk-able Tuesday.  This is where I want to encourage you to be in God’s word because when you are you will grow in your faith and your life will be full.  Let’s get started.  You and your soul are going to love it!

We have been talking about prayer the past three weeks.

  1. Week 1 – I encouraged you and myself to “Get Started Praying.”
    • We created a Prayer Jar to be able to pick one bible verse a day from the jar for 35 days to be able to read what the Lord says about prayer and how to pray.
    • I also created a Prayer Card that was a print-able for you that has bible verse on it so we can pray bible verses and have a prayer strategy when we are praying.
    • Lastly, I encouraged you to set a goal in regard to prayer. What you want to accomplish in your prayer life.  Here is a link this blog post so you can print these print-ables if you have not already done so.  CLICK HERE
  2. Week 2 – We talked about “how to pray”. On the Prayer Card there is a 5 step strategy as to how we can begin to pray.  As Sheila Walsh has said, “Pray hardest when it is hardest to pray.”
  3. Week 3 – I encouraged you to keep praying. Keep moving toward your goal.  Keep obeying God’s word.  He calls us to pray always.  Ephesians 6:18 – And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. And Romans 12:12 says, rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

After putting all these things in place, is PRAYER beginning to be your default response to your life circumstances?

You know what I have noticed this month since I have been intentional about making prayer a part of my daily life (my prayer goal is to pray 5 minutes each day) and using all the things I talked about in the past 3 weeks?  Prayer is becoming more and more my default response to the various circumstances in my life.

  • I have noticed that my response to life situations has slowed down.
    • Example: When my son becomes upset over a situation in his life, I am more apt to respond in a voice and manner that is calmer and deescalating.
  • When my husband and I are discussing current events we both go to prayer quicker to make our requests known to the Lord and to lay them there.
  • I find myself making sure that I am set up to be able to finish my morning activities before my son is up and husband is ready for our morning cup of coffee together, so I can pray and then read God’s word.
    • I have my spot in my house where I go to pray and read God’s word. This time is becoming more and more precious times for me.
  • I have been giving prayers of thanks more often and this has filled up my own heart with gratitude for all the Lord has given me and my family.
  • While driving in my car, I am quicker to pray and give praise as I see things happen around me.
  • I have been praying God’s word more and claiming it as truth.

Is this happening to you?  Is prayer becoming a default response for you as you go through your day?  I am excited to continue growing in my prayer life and I pray the same for you!  God wants to have a close relationship with you.  Keep making prayer your default response to your circumstance

I will see you next week in March as we talk about Direction: Where do I go?

Can’t wait.  Talk to you soon,

Blessings, Krista

Be a REFRESHMENT to Others

Hello LASF Ladies and thank you for joining me at the Blog.

Moose-smHow has your week been?  I pray that you have taken time this month to allow the Lord to REFRESH your soul.

Last December I told my husband that I would love to see a moose this Winter on our property.  I love nature and all God has created and living on our piece of property in a rural setting allows me to see and live right in the middle of God’s creation.  Well…one morning last week I opened my font door to go feed our chickens and when I looked to my right there was a female moose getting ready to approach the salt lick, which we set out for the wild deer, elk and moose who cross through our property.  I hurried back inside to grab my phone and take a picture.  After I took the picture, I was able to stand there and watch her.  So awesome to watch and just take a moment to breathe and allow the Lord to “refresh” my soul.  Do you ever have moments like that?  A moment where you were able to be refreshed in your soul?  Our God is so good.

Whoever refreshes_20210118_0002I would like to invite you to listen to my podcast this week to look into God’s word  and be encouraged to not only allow the Lord to REFRESH your soul, but to allow the Lord to use you as a REFRESHMENT to others.  His word says that when we refresh others we too will be refreshed.

Come, listen and be REFRESHED by God’s word! See you there!!

Also, as always here is your pint-able to be able to keep God’s word in front of you each day.

I will see you next week for Talk-able Tuesday.  We are gearing up to talk about PRAYER during the month of February.

Blessings to you,

Krista

REFRESH Your Soul

Refresh-colorable-staged-smHello Ladies,

We are mid-way through January.  How are you doing?  How is your soul?  Are you taking moments to allow the Lord to refresh your soul? This last week, did you take a moment and allow the Lord’s creation, His glory, to refresh you?  If not, it is not too late and whenever you are needing a refreshing from the Lord remember to take a moment in His creation.  He will refresh you!

I have been reading through the book of James.  It has been a while since I have read this book.  James does such a great job outlining how we are to live and behave as those who have been saved through Jesus’ life, death and resurrection.  It has been a refreshing time to take a moment and look at how I am to live as one saved through Jesus.  Am I following and obeying God’s word?  Because when I am my soul is at peace and I feel fresh and ready to face each day.

When you are in need of refreshing your soul, go to God’s word.  It is full of truth and wisdom.

Psalm 19:7 says:

The law of the Lord is perfect,
    refreshing the soul.
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy,
    making wise the simple.

This is such a simple thing to do and yet sometimes we go to everything else but God’s word.

  • Ladies, right now and each day this week take some time to be in God’s word.
  • It is prefect for REFRESHING your soul.
  • It is trustworthy and will give you wisdom.
  • Do not wait another day!  Go to His word and dwell there.  Your soul will thank you 🙂

As always, your print-able is ready.  This week it is a color-able print-able! May you continue to be encouraged by God’s word as you read it and color your color-able.  It is there to refresh your soul and give you wisdom.

I will see you next week for Talk-able Tuesday and it is a Talk-able Podcast! (Spoiler alert!)  I am excited to talk with you.  Keep watch in your inbox for your gift of encouragement!

Blessings Always,

Krista

Prayer: Putting Your Faith in Action

Hello Ladies!
You may have noticed that I am a week late.  I am sorry for the delay.  Have you ever had those weeks that are just plain difficult and difficult in more than on area?  Well these past couple weeks have been just that.
So much so that I have been on my knees in prayer to my Father, our Father, to give me peace, guidance and wisdom.

Isn’t it just like the Lord to to give you what you need just when you need it?

God knew that these past couple weeks would require prayer and some times prayer on my knees in obedience to His word to bring everything to Him in prayer, and to pray without ceasing. So, as I was video taping, editing the videos, and creating the print-ables for today’s talk-able entitled Putting Your Faith into action through prayer, I was putting my own Faith into action through prayer.  It is amazing to come to the other side of a difficult time and see how God carried you and had you study and learn something in His word that you would need to use. He is a mighty God who cares for each of us.

With that being said, thank you for your patience and understanding.

Are you ready to put your FAITH into ACTION through PRAYER!?!

In today’s talk-able I want to share with you:

  • What God has to say about prayer.
  • How God says we should pray.
  • Why I have a passion to encourage you to be in God’s word.
  • 5 mind sets you can change to move yourself in the direction of praying.
  • and remind you that the enemy does not want you to pray.

AND

  • Give you 4 actions you can do to encourage yourself to make prayer part of your daily time with the Lord.

Come and join me for my talk-able and let’s be encouraged to put our faith into action and PRAY!

Blessings,
Krista

Are you ready to encourage yourself to pray?  Here are the 4 actions I talked about in my video.  Do 1 or do them all to motivate yourself to start praying consistently and often!!

  1.   Are you a movie lover?  Watch the movie by the Kendrick Brothers: War Room.  You will be ready to do battle through PRAYER!
    1. Here is the link to purchase it through Amazon CLICK HERE
  2.   Love reading?  You will LOVE the book FERVENT by Priscilla Shirer.  You will be creating a prayer strategy as you go through her book

  3.  Do you just LOVE to Journal?  I have created a six day Journal plus a template to continue journaling.
    1. Here is the link to your Journal Print-able.  CLICK HERE
  4.   No time?  Here is a 1 1/2 minute video I created to encourage yourself to pray right now the Lord’s Prayer.  What better way to start praying than with God’s word and the words Jesus told his disciples to pray when they asked him how they should pray.

Let’s get going and Pray!

Put your Faith into action today and Pray!

Love you all and I will be emailing you soon to give more information about our 1 year Anniversary for Living a Sustainable Faith, LASF.
